大阪で開催される日本国際博覧会（2025年大阪・関西万博）に向け、〈アメリカパビリオン〉のデザインが発表されました。 三角形の平面をもつ2棟の建物とその間に配された、吊り下げ式の大きなキューブで構成された建築です。2棟の内側に向くファサードにはそれぞれ大型LEDスクリーンがあり、そこにアメリカを象徴するイメージやムービーが映し出され、「峡谷」のような空間をつくり出します。アメリカ、ニューオーリンズを拠点に活動するトレイハン・アーキテクツ（Trahan Architects）が設計しました。The design of the US Pavilion has been unveiled for the Japan International Exposition to be held in Osaka (Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai). The architecture consists of two triangular buildings and a large suspended cube between them, with large LED screens on each of the two inward-facing facades, onto which symbolic images and movies of the USA are projected, creating a ‘canyon’ like space. It was designed by Trahan Architects, based in New Orleans, USA.
